Privacy Policy

CoachScript ("the Service") is operated by C2 Content & Consulting LLC ("we", "us"), based in the United States. This policy explains how we handle your data, including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA").
1. What we collect
We collect the account details you provide (such as name and email), the team and coaching data you enter (roster, schedules, practice plans, playbook, and film references), and anonymous, cookie-less page-view analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) used to keep the Service reliable. We collect this information directly from the coaching staff who use the Service; the anonymous analytics is collected automatically and cannot be linked back to you. If you enable push notifications in our iOS app, we also store your device's push notification token so we can deliver those notifications; it is removed when you turn notifications off or delete your account.
2. How we use it, and our legal basis
We use this information to provide, maintain, and secure the Service, to authenticate you, to communicate with you about your account, and to improve reliability and performance. We also send occasional product emails about CoachScript features and upgrades; every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out has no effect on your account or on the service emails you still need to receive. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (account and team data, needed to run the Service you signed up for); our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable product (security logs, anonymous analytics), which we balance against your privacy, and in telling existing customers about relevant features by occasional product email, which you can stop at any time using the unsubscribe link in each message or by emailing privacy@coachscript.io; and legal obligation, where retention is required by law.
3. Service providers
We rely on a small number of third-party processors to operate CoachScript, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and anonymous analytics), Resend (service and product email delivery), Stripe (payment processing for web checkout), Apple (push notification delivery), and Google (optional sign-in). Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service to us, under its own terms and security commitments.
4. International data transfers
Our infrastructure runs in the United States. If you use CoachScript from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, using the Service necessarily transfers your data to the United States. Supabase and Vercel, our infrastructure providers, each publish a Data Processing Agreement incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK's SCC addendum) as the safeguard for that transfer -- see supabase.com/legal/dpa and vercel.com/legal/dpa. We do not currently have a designated EU or UK representative under GDPR Article 27; until we do, please direct any EU/UK data-protection inquiry to privacy@coachscript.io and we will respond directly.
5. Children's information
CoachScript is built for use by adult coaching staff. Children do not have accounts and never sign in to the Service. Coaching staff enter limited information about players, such as names, jersey numbers, and attendance, in order to run their team. This information is never sold and is never used for advertising. It is deleted along with the team or account it belongs to. League and team administrators are responsible for having appropriate parental permission under their league's policies before entering information about a minor. The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent digital-consent age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. To review, correct, or remove information about a minor, contact us at privacy@coachscript.io or ask your team's staff.
6. Retention
We retain your account and team data while your account is active. If you delete your account, whether through https://coachscript.io/account or by contacting us, that deletion is immediate: your account and any teams you solely own are removed right away, along with their roster, schedule, and playbook data. We may retain limited information afterward in routine backups (cycled out over time) or where needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
7. Your rights and choices
You can delete your account at any time, in-app or on the web, by signing in and visiting https://coachscript.io/account, where the Danger Zone lets you permanently delete your account and its data (see "Retention" above). If you are unable to sign in, you may instead request deletion by contacting us at privacy@coachscript.io. You may also request access to, correction of, or a copy of your personal data by contacting us at the same address.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you additionally have the right, subject to conditions under GDPR, to: restrict or object to our processing of your data; receive your data in a portable format; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
